The Erskine Firewalk was a fantastic success. After a few worrying hours of torrential rain the skies cleared and preparations started for the event.
Jim Watret, Community Fundraiser and organiser of the event would like to say a big thanks to the Erskine Activity Centre team for hosting the event.
The evening started off with an inspirational talk to make sure everyone was in the right frame of mind for this daunting challenge. Then it was down to business.
Erskine staff member Mark Elder was on hand with some stirring piping and he made sure to pipe everyone walking over the hot coals.
A massive thanks goes to the Erskine Catering team who provided a fantastic BBQ which went down very well with all those attending.
Jim said: "Thanks to all the staff who raised much needed funds for Erskine and thanks to Gordon from ERMAC who was so keen to do it that he did it twice. I would also like to say thank you to the Community Fundraising team who supported me with the event to ensure that everything went smoothly and by all accounts everyone who either participated or supported had a great time."
