Veterans get on their Bikes

The Erskine Reid Macewen Activity Centre (ERMAC) has been very busy! For over a year now Veterans from the Centre have building their own bikes!

Working in close partnership with Common Wheel, the “Build Your Own Bike” project has been a fantastic success. ERMAC Veterans taking part in the course have been working with the very talented Common Wheel bike engineers to design and build bespoke bikes.  The icing on the cake is that once built, be it for the Veteran or a family member, the bike is to keep.

The course is open to Veterans of all abilities and skill levels. As well as being great fun it is an opportunity learn a new skills set. An added bonus is working alongside fellow Veterans and enjoying some camaraderie.

So if you are a Veteran and would like to join a taster session for the “Build Your Own Bike” course, we would love to hear from you.  The short session will be held on Thursday 10th February at the Erskine Reid Macewen Activity Centre in the Erskine Veterans Village in Bishopton, Renfrewshire.
