Erskine Ball 2024

What a fabulous evening our guests had at the Erskine Military Ball 2024!

The highlight of the evening was Veteran Bryan Warren being announced as the winner of the inaugural Erskine Ally Lifetime Achievement Award. It was an unforgettably emotional moment that touched the hearts of many even more so when Bryan receiving a standing ovation.

Bryan as child was evacuated to Bournemouth and recalls watching the aircraft going over to France for D-Day, never thinking one day he himself would serve in the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, reaching the rank of Captain. Later he continued his military service by working with the Argyll cadets and helped shape many young people into adults teaching them the value of teamwork and respect.

A true Scot Bryan is a very keen bagpiper! His respect for the military and Veterans has been steadfast and he has even worked with the Dunkirk Veterans and supported many of them to make the journey back to Dunkirk for Acts of Remembrance.  

Today Bryan continues to help Veterans by his many fundraising efforts for Erskine and is a “well kent face” at Lomond Shores with an Erskine banner and collecting tin, to date he has raised over £42,000 for Erskine.

One of the first members of the Erskine Reid Macewen Activity Centre, Bryan, a keen artist enjoys the art room and his love of music has led him, along with his partner Anne to join the newly formed ERMAC choir.

And it goes without saying all at ERMAC are incredibly proud of Bryan and delighted his fundraising activities have been recognised with this wonderful award.
