To many Veteran Captain Bryan Warren is a familiar figure at the iconic West Coast tourist location of Loch Lomond Shores. Every year during the summer months the Argyll & Sutherland Highlander Veteran can be found raising funds for Erskine.
Thanks to the Loch Lomond Shores Operations Manager, ex-Army Tank Regiment Veteran, Gregor Field, Bryan has the freedom not only to hand out information to the busloads of tourists and daily visitors but to have his collecting can to hand. Bryan is constantly overwhelmed by the generosity of people in filling his collecting cans for Erskine. Despite starting his collections late this year, due to the pandemic guidelines, Brian still managed to raise over £8,000.
This fantastic sum of money has gone a long way in benefiting the many Veterans who call The Erskine Home and Erskine Park their home.
Erskine Community Fundraiser Jim Watret said: "A huge thank you to Gregor and all at Loch Lomond Shores for allowing Bryan to fundraise for Erskine and to Captain Bryan Warren for his efforts. In all weathers he has continued to ensure our Veterans are never far from the thoughts of the thousands of tourists who visit every year. Thank you also to Loch Lomond Shores for donating the proceeds of a sale amounting to £1000 to Bryan”.
