Pall-Ex Supports Trips and Outings for Erskine’s Veterans
Erskine is delighted to share that we have received a generous grant of £5,000 from the Pall-Ex Group Charitable Foundation which will fund our regular programme of trips and outings for residents at The Erskine Home, Bishopton.
Our Home continues to provide expert care to 180 elderly Veterans and spouses to ensure they can enjoy the best possible quality of life while living with dementia or other life-limiting conditions. A key aspect of our Home’s enhanced care services is the regular programme of activities, trips and outings organised by our dedicated Activities team.
The trips and outings are suggested by our residents and their families and are hugely important to our residents’ wellbeing, helping them to stay physically active, mentally stimulated and socially engaged. Some examples of recent trips enjoyed by our residents include an outing to the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, a trip to an antique fair, a visit to Erskine Library, and attending games at Ibrox and Celtic Park.
Erskine would like to sincerely thank the Pall-Ex Group Charitable Foundation for this generous support. Pall-Ex is a recognised leader in palletised freight distribution and is striving to be the employer of choice for ex-Forces personnel. The Foundation was recently set up to build on Pall-Ex’s fantastic long-term support for Service personnel and Veterans, including employment of many Veterans and partnerships with Veterans’ charities.
