Erskine Veterans Charity Partners Bowls Scotland
We are delighted to share the news that as Bowls Scotland’s official charity partner, Erskine Veterans Charity, has agreed to continue partnering with Bowls Scotland on their monthly E-Newsletter for the next 12 months.
The E-Newsletter was first launched in June 2016 and has since grown to have over 3,600 subscribers. The E-Newsletter provides monthly roundups of key information to clubs and members with the latest news from Bowls Scotland and partners.
As Scotland’s foremost provider of care for Veterans and their spouses, Erskine provides unrivalled nursing, residential and dementia care. The charity’s Activity Centres offer a wide range of both social and sporting activities for Veterans to take part in as part of their rehabilitation.
Throughout the last year, bowling clubs in Scotland have managed to raise an amazing £20,000 for Erskine.
Excited by this new partnership deal, Erskine’s Head of Fundraising and MarComms, Sara Bannerman, said:
“Erskine is delighted to continue its partnership with Bowls Scotland on their monthly E-Newsletter.
“The E-Newsletter has proved to be an excellent platform for us to reach out to Bowls Scotland members with news and stories from our Veterans.
“Support from bowling clubs has increased significantly, since we partnered with Bowls Scotland, we have raised over £70,000 to date.
“We look forward to another record-breaking year in 2025.”
Bowls Scotland Head of High Performance Bowls, Kareena Cuthbert, added: “Our strong relationship with Erskine is an important branch of our network of partnerships who have a significant impact within the bowling community.
“Erskine is the finest Veterans charity in Scotland and since we partnered up in June 2022, it has been wonderful to see many of our clubs support Erskine by engaging in fundraising events and generously donating.”
“Erskine’s community driven approach to supporting veterans across the country has meant a growth in activity centres across Scotland, providing a safe and inclusive environment for members to keep active. Continued support with our monthly E-Newsletter will provide updates of the opportunities to engage with Erskine and promote all the brilliant work our clubs, volunteers and staff are doing to support and grow the game.”
