Tesco Community Grant for Allotment Project
Erskine is delighted to share that we have received a grant of £1,500 from Tesco Community Grants. This kind donation will go towards the allotment project at Erskine’s Edinburgh Home, helping our team to buy new gardening equipment and plants. Our Veterans will be able to enjoy staying active and spending time together outdoors in the allotment area which is designed to be fully accessible for those living with disabilities.
Tesco Community Grants is run in partnership with community-focused environmental charity Groundwork and supports thousands of local community projects every year. The programme (previously Tesco Bags of Help) has already provided over £90 million to more than 40,000 projects across Britain and donated to Erskine’s Activities Centre in 2019. You can find out more at www.tesco.com/communitygrants.
This grant comes after Erskine won the in-store vote across four Tesco stores in Edinburgh from October to December 2021. Thank you so much to all our fantastic local supporters who voted for Erskine and to Tesco Community Grants for shortlisting our project!
