ERMAC Veterans Visit the Scottish Parliament

A group of four members of the Erskine Activities Centre along with Activities Co-ordinator Evonne recently visited the Scottish Parliament for First Minister’s questions.

Evonne said: “It was really interesting to see the workings of the parliament and the debates taking place”.

The visit was organised by ERMAC member and Assisted Living resident James who has a keen interest in politics. James said “When I enquired they asked if I wanted to bring a group, so I thought I’ll have a word with Evonne and we got it all sorted”.

The visit was arranged via Neil Bibby MSP who kindly came down and met with the group after the First Minister Questions and offered a tour which was eagerly accepted.

Neil and one of his staff Callum gave a behind the scenes tour, including the Donald Dewar room and even inside the debating floor of the parliament. The group had a chance to meet MSP’s of all parties and everyone was very kind and supportive towards Erskine. It was truly a great experience and a huge thank you to James for organising and to Neil Bibby and his team for helping to make the day something that won’t be forgotten.
