EARS 2 Hear at Erskine Activity Centre

A huge thank you to the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust for their tremendous continued support with a Force for Change grant for £10,000 to run a hearing support service for the Veteran community. Now well under way, the Ex-Service Advice Repairs and Support 2 Hear (EARS 2 Hear) project has already supported 69 veterans, spouses and carers.

Providing advice, support and signposting services to those who have experienced hearing issues, from mild to severe hearing loss and tinnitus, the project offers:
• hearing screening, hearing aid maintenance and support on using hearing aids;
• advice on useful equipment to improve everyday life;
• support before and after hearing aids have been fitted.

EARS 2 Hear offers drop-in sessions on a rolling basis at ERMAC and partner organisations’ sites across the Central Belt – Sight Scotland Veterans at Linburn and Hawkhead, Veterans Community Lanarkshire’s VC at the KC in Wishaw, Lothian Veterans Centre in Dalkeith, and Community Veterans Support in Govan. Veterans, spouses and carers who would like to know more should contact their nearest partner site for details of the next session.
