Burghead Boxing Day Swim

Erskine is delighted to be selected as a partner charity for this year’s Burghead Boxing Day Swim!

The Moray village has been hosting the event for almost 40 years, with brave swimmers raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for good causes.

Michael Parkes, our Fundraising & Development Manager (North), shared his excitement on the news.  “It’s an honour for Erskine to be a charity partner of the Burghead Boxing Day Swim for the first time.  Being a Moray ‘loon’ myself, I know how popular the event is with festive fundraisers.  We’re looking forward to seeing swimmers from across the area conquer the cold North Sea for Erskine’s Veterans, along with RNLI Buckie and Moray Voluntary Befriending Service. 

The Service community is huge in Moray. Our partnership with the swim comes at a very exciting time for Erskine, as we progress with our plans to open our new Veterans Activities Centre in Forres in 2024!”

Event times on Tuesday 26^th December:

 12pm-145pm - Registration at Burghead Harbour Office

210pm – Safety talk at Harbour Restroom

215pm – Swim begins!

Please note: Swimmers must be aged 16 or over.  The organisers ask that you raise a minimum sponsorship of £50 to register on the day of the event.  The sponsorship will be shared across the 3 partner charities.  Please read the event’s Swimmer Rules and Swimmer Information for full details.
