The Erskine Reid Macewen Activities Centre is delighted to have been awarded a grant of £1000 from the British Forces Broadcasting Service as part of this year’s BFBS Big Salute campaign.
This fantastic donation will help fund materials and equipment for Veterans’ pottery and art classes at the Activities Centre (ERMAC).
The BFBS Big Salute is an annual campaign that raises vital funds for armed forces charities, and Erskine, Scotland’s largest Veterans charity, is delighted to have been included.
The Activities Centre, part of the Erskine Veterans Village in Bishopton, has gone from strength to strength since opening and currently has 186 active members. The Centre offers a wide variety of activities and classes, from creative to sporting, holistic to technological, and now also includes sessions for spouses and carers.
A spokesperson for Erskine said “The BFBS Big Salute campaign awards grants to a wide variety of projects which make a huge difference across the Armed Forces community. We are proud to be part of this community and very grateful to the Trustees for choosing to support our veterans”.
