Who can attend? Eligibility criteria

  • Any Veteran who has served as a member of one of the HM Armed Forces as a Regular or Reservist or on National Service or were:

    • A Member of the Merchant Marine and were deployed on active service in support of the armed forces
    • A Member of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary
    • A Member of the Home Guard

Where to find us

Housed in the historic former Victoria Hotel on Tytler Street in the centre of Forres, EVAC North aims to serve the Veteran population in Morayshire. Morayshire boasts the highest concentration of Veterans in Scotland, thanks to the presence of nearby military bases such as RAF Lossiemouth and Kinloss Barracks. EVAC North is a hub for Veterans to reconnect with their community, learn new skills, and rediscover a sense of purpose.

Our services & activities

At EVAC North, there’s always something going on. Whether you're looking to meet fellow Veterans, get active, learn something new, or access practical support. Here’s what you’ll find:

  • Social – EVAC North is a space where Veterans can share experiences, build friendships, and find solidarity among peers who understand the unique challenges of military life.
  • Activities and skills – Veterans can participate in a wide range of activities, such as archery, woodwork, art, IT skills, and gym sessions.
  • Support - The centre will connect Veterans with tailored support services, including health workshops and collaborative initiatives with local organisations.

Facilities and opening hours

Open Monday to Friday, 9:30am – 3:30pm

Drop in for a couple of hours or stay all day
