When Erskine was founded in 1916 our aim was to care for Service men and women who had been injured in active service. Today, care remains the cornerstone of our philosophy – but we do much more as well.
As the UK’s foremost provider of care for veterans, we provide unrivalled rehabilitation, nursing and dementia care in our homes throughout Scotland.
There are three social firms based in and around our home at Bishopton. They are run as commercial businesses and employ ex-Service personnel and disabled workers.
The Erskine Supported Transition Project gives vulnerable and disabled Service leavers the time, space and information they need to set up a stable and fulfilling civilian life.
Through our association with the University of the West of Scotland, we offer student nurse placements at our homes in Bishopton which last from four to eight weeks.
We operate five Erskine homes in Scotland. Our purpose built homes combine modern facilities, professional, caring staff and comfortable surroundings.
We’ve undertaken a £7 million rebuilding programme to create 52 one, two and three bedroom cottages to accommodate veterans and their families.
At Erskine we continue to support British Army personnel with two programmes based at our homes in Bishopton and Edinburgh.
