Mr Andrew O Robertson OBE LLB (Chairman)
Our Chairman’s long relationship with Erskine started in 1976 when he was appointed as our Company Secretary. He was appointed as Chairman on July 1st 2011. A former solicitor, he was a senior partner of TC Young until his retirement five years ago. He has a strong interest in charitable and health organisations and has 15 years experience with the NHS, currently serving as Chairman of NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde.
Mr Stuart Aitkenhead
Stuart works as an Estates Director for Babcock Marine (Clyde) Limited, responsible for 700 members of staff across all disciplines and has direct responsibility for Babcock’s input at Faslane Naval Base. He is also a co-opted board member at Langside College and a member of the Executive Committee of Scottish Engineering.
Mr Michael Blyth BSc CA
Michael is one of Erskine’s longest serving Trustees with 25 years’ of distinguished service. His skills as a qualified Chartered Accountant and within the third sector have contributed in helping Erskine transform into a modern day care provider. He is also Erskine’s Vice Chairman and a member of the Glasgow Housing Association Board.
Air Commodore Eric Clark BSc CEng FRAeS RAF (Ret’d)
A Trustee for six years, Air Commodore Clark supports the work of Erskine with the knowledge gained during his 29-year of Service with the RAF and subsequent Director roles with Shell. He is also a Trustee with the Stirling District Citizens Advice Bureau and Director of Erskine Developments Ltd.
Dr Brian Cowan
Brian has worked continuously as a doctor and senior manager since 1976. He recently retired as Medical Director of Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board, a position he had held since 2004. Brian brings to Erskine a wealth of clinical care experience with previous roles including Clinical Anaesthetist and Medical Director of the Victoria Infirmary Trust.
Mr Kenneth Cowan
Kenneth is the Chief Operating Officer for Morgan Stanley in Glasgow, overseeing the delivery of the 1000-strong office-wide agenda. He previously served as a Major with the Royal Marines, before retiring after 12 years Service. Kenneth has a strong interest in helping Service leavers make the transition to civilian life.
Mr Robin Crawford LLB CA
Robin has been a Trustee for four years. He is a Chartered Accounted and was a partner of international firm KPMG until 2007 when he retired. At Erskine he is also part of the Clinical Governance Committee and out with our organisation is a member of the Scottish Further and Higher Education Funding Council, Court of Strathclyde University and Director of The Merchants House, Glasgow.
Rosslyn Crocket
Rosslyn is currently the Director of Nursing with Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board. She has extensive experience of chairing or being a member of Ministerial working groups and has previously held the position of Chair of the Scottish Executive’s Nurse Director’s Group. Ros is currently a member of the Yorkhill Foundation coordinating committee appeal and is interim chair of the Erskine Clinical Governance committee.
Mr Andrew Dewar-Durie CBE DL
A Trustee since 2008, Andrew served as a Captain with the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders until 1968. He has since held roles with Distilled Spirits, Allied Distilleries, Seafish Industry Authority and more recently as Deputy Chairman of the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. He also sits on the board of Billingsgate Seafood School in London.
Rani Dhir MBE
Rani is an Executive Director with Drumchapel Housing Cooperative Limited. She is currently a non-executive board member of Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board, Chair of the East Dunbartonshire Community Health Partnership, as well as a number of voluntary responsibilities. Her previous experience is extensive and includes non-executive roles with organisations including Lloyds TSB and Scottish Homes.
Mr Craig Jamieson
Craig is Director of Barclays Wealth in Glasgow and provides oversight and governance to 2,000 members of staff. He served as a Captain in the Corps of Royal Engineers for 13 years and completed tours of duty in Falkland Islands, Europe and Africa. He is also chair of Glasgow Diversity Committee for Barclays and is an active fundraiser and ambassador with two other charities.
Mr Ian Reid
Ian works as the Director of Human Resources with Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board and previously held roles including Chief Executive of Greater Glasgow Primary Care Trust and Pay Modernisation Director for NHS Scotland. He is currently a Director of the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice.
Mr Graham Roddick
Graham recently retired as Director of Estate Services with Strathclyde University where he was responsible for all estates, project management, facilities and a £350m ten year development plan. He is a qualified architect and offers Erskine a wealth of experience in buildings, estates and facilities management.
Mr Charles Scott TD CA
Charles joined our Board in September 1997. He worked as a partner at Ernst & Young until 1993 and has since held roles with Scottish Enterprise, NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and Langside FE College. In addition, Charles volunteered in the TA for 20 years, including eight years as a Coy Commander.
Jill Vickerman
Jill is Acting Director of Health and Healthcare improvement with the Scottish Government and has the responsibility for policy, strategy and planning for NHS Scotland, quality improvement, governance, delivery of health improvement and veterans healthcare. Jill is an executive member of the Health and Social Care Management Board which has a budget of over £11billion.
